Last Sunday we celebrated my sister, and the baby girl she is going to have in the next few weeks. As one of four girls, with two girls of my own, I could not be more excited to welcome another a little girl into the family. I honestly don’t know what we all would do if one of us had a boy. Girls are our thing.
However, party planning is not my thing. I wish I was good at it, and sometimes I try really hard, but I just wasn’t born with that gene.
As I’m sure you can tell from previous posts, like Juliet’s second birthday, I am super laid back when it comes to the decorations, games, and food. I care more about the people coming and the time we all get to spend together. My hopes for parties are just that everyone has a great time together, laughing, talking, loving, and enjoying their time with each other. And after planning and setting up with my mom and sisters, that is exactly what happened at my little sister’s shower.
Although I think it is important to get gifts from the registry for a baby shower, I always like to find more personal gifts as well. So, for my sister’s first baby, I of course made sure to get her some of the necessities, but then I strayed from the registry to get some special pieces for Flynn.
This day gown was one of my favorite pieces that I had for Anniston, and I just could not wait to get the same one for my niece. My sister and brother-in-law finally chose the most perfect name in December and I immediately ordered it for her.
I also love this burp cloth and bib from EmilyQuinnDesign. This is the second time I have purchased this set for a baby shower, and I just think they are the sweetest. I also love a monogrammed bloomer, so I found these here and I love the eyelet lace detail on them.
We had such a great day celebrating baby Flynn and we all just cannot wait to meet her.
